Privacy Policy

The Nisshin Group (hereinafter, the “Group”) values the trust from its customers above all, and regards the proper and confidential handling of personal information as a serious and important responsibility. To this end, the Group has established the “Personal Information Protection Policy” regarding the personal information of customers, and proactively ensures that all employees and affiliate companies properly handle every personal information.
The details are as follows.
Furthermore, personal information that is already held and used by the Group shall be handled in accordance with this policy.

Handling of Personal Information

1. Acquisition of Personal Information
The Group collects personal information through lawful and fair means. When requesting customers to provide personal information, the Group preemptively discloses the purpose of the request and how the information will be used, and then collects personal information only within the scope of its union’s legitimate business and to the extent necessary to achieve its purpose.
2. Use and Sharing of Personal Information

Personal information collected by the companies of the Group shall be used within the scope of consent provided by the information provider and in accordance with the purpose and reason the information was collected. The purpose of use shall be in accordance with the “Scope of Use” and shall be limited to information that is necessary to achieve its purpose within the legitimate business of the Group.

  • When contacting customers for business-related matters
  • When providing information on the products and services of the Group
  • When handling customer inquiries and requests
  • For other purposes when the customer has been notified in advance and consent has been provided

Use for Other Purposes

When a need arises to use a customer’s personal information for any other purpose besides those aforementioned, customer consent shall be obtained first before said information can be used, except as permitted by law.

3. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
The Group does not provide personal customer information to a third party without the customer’s consent. However, this shall not apply for special circumstances in which the Group is mandated to provide information by law and/or other regulations pertaining to personal information.
4. Procedures for Disclosure and Modification of Personal Information
If you wish to inquire about, modify or delete your personal information that you have provided, please contact our customer service department. The Group shall disclose, modify and/or delete your personal information within a reasonable time period as long as your personal identification can be verified, and except in circumstances such as when it would significantly impair the business of the Group.
5. Fees for Disclosing Personal Information

The party requesting disclosure (individual verified as the customer) may be asked to pay a disclosure fee. In said case, the Group shall clearly forewarn the customer beforehand that a fee will incur.

Compliance with Laws and Regulations Concerning the Protection of Personal Information

The Group shall comply with personal information protection laws and regulations that apply to personal information held by its group companies. Furthermore, this policy shall be determined by the laws and other norms in Japan. This policy defines the basic policies of handling personal information held by the Group. The Group shall strive to protect personal information based on the laws and norms such as the Act on the Protection of Personal Information according to this policy.

Security Control Measures of Personal Information

The Group shall take the appropriate security measures by maintaining a control system to protect personal information from fraudulent access, loss, destruction, modification and leakage, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of the information. The Group shall appropriately manage personal information by restricting the access of outside personnel into offices that handle personal information, implementing training programs to all executives and employees associated with the protection of personal information held by the Group, and assigning a chief administrator.

Continuous Improvement Policy

The Group shall continuously improve its personal information protection efforts to be able to respond to changes in the laws, handling methods and the environment in Japan.
